Each year, our farm buys pullets (young hens) to supply eggs to our community. When their lay rate drops below 85%, we sell them to backyard chicken keepers like you.

  • 2. Pickup

    We'll agree on a time you can come pick up your layers within in next couple of days.

  • 3. Pay

    Payment is due at pickup. We can accept cash or card.

Breed & Laying Information

Our hens are a brown egg layer hybrid called Hi-Line Browns known for their high egg production. Though all chickens decrease lay rate in the Winter and pick back up in the Spring, our hens will be laying nearly every day when they come to your farm.

How our hens are cared for

We don't push our hens beyond their natural limits like factory farms. They are kept in a mobile coop and moved to fresh pasture every couple of days so they can forage, roost, and are able to be chickens.
